In Medisoft, go to <strong>Activities<\/strong>, then <strong>Revenue Management<\/strong>, then <strong>Revenue Management<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2.&nbsp; In Revenue Management, go to <strong>Process<\/strong>, then <strong>Change Practice<\/strong>.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"874\" height=\"301\" src=\"https:\/\/www.2kmedicalsoftware.com\/Medisoft-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1025\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3.&nbsp; Click <strong>Next<\/strong> on the Connection Wizard screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5.&nbsp; Enter Medisoft <strong>Login Name<\/strong> and <strong>Password<\/strong>, then click <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">6.&nbsp; Select the \u201ceMEDIX Claim MS\u201d connection, then click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"835\" height=\"412\" src=\"https:\/\/www.2kmedicalsoftware.com\/Medisoft-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Image-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1027\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7.&nbsp; Enter info into the \u201cAdditional Receiver Information\u201d window.&nbsp; Check\/select the <strong>Group Practice<\/strong> option if it is true.&nbsp; Enter <strong>Primary Contact<\/strong> info (<em>Name, Type, and Number<\/em>).&nbsp; Enter the Identification Details as seen in the example below.&nbsp; The <strong>1000A Submitter Name<\/strong> should auto-populate based on the Practice name.&nbsp; Looking at the following example, replace \u201cTPID\u201d with the actual eMedix-assigned TPID, and replace \u201cPassword\u201d with the actual eMedix-assigned Password.&nbsp; Replace \u201cWebservice Username\u201d with the actual eMedix-assigned value.&nbsp; Click <strong>Next<\/strong> to continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"677\" height=\"420\" src=\"https:\/\/www.2kmedicalsoftware.com\/Medisoft-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Image-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1028\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">8.&nbsp; Click <strong>Next<\/strong> on the \u201cConfiguring Receivers\u201d screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"835\" height=\"251\" src=\"https:\/\/www.2kmedicalsoftware.com\/Medisoft-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1029\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">9.&nbsp; Check the \u201cEMCL\u201d line to verify settings and populate values as needed.&nbsp; The <strong>Program File<\/strong> field should contain \u201cRCM\\RevenueManager.exe\u201d.&nbsp; Check\/select the <strong>GroupPractice<\/strong> option if it is true.&nbsp; It is generally ok to select <strong>SupressLegacy<\/strong> and <strong>SendDrugLoop<\/strong> options.&nbsp; The <strong>EntityType<\/strong> should be \u201cNon-person\u201d if it is a group practice, or <strong>Person<\/strong> if it is not a group practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1348\" height=\"286\" src=\"https:\/\/www.2kmedicalsoftware.com\/Medisoft-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Image-6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1030\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">10.&nbsp; Click in the field, on the \u201cEMCL\u201d line, under the <strong>Transaction Sets<\/strong> column.&nbsp; Verify the <strong>iGuide<\/strong> for&nbsp; \u201cClaims\u201d is set to either \u201cOutbound Claims(837P MSXX 5010 Claim \u2013 Standard)\u201d for Professional claims, or \u201cOutbound Claims(837I MSXX 5010 Claim \u2013 General UB04)\u201d for Institutional claims (<em>replace XX with actual Medisoft version<\/em>).&nbsp; Click <strong>Next<\/strong> to continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"559\" height=\"155\" src=\"https:\/\/www.2kmedicalsoftware.com\/Medisoft-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Image-7.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1031\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">11.&nbsp; Click <strong>Finish<\/strong> on the final screen of the Connection Wizard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">12.&nbsp; If the client is also signed up for Eligibility Verification, complete the above steps again, but in Step #6, select the \u201ceMEDIX Eligibility MS\u201d connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">13.&nbsp; To configure Insurances in Medisoft, go to <strong>Lists<\/strong>, then <strong>Insurance<\/strong>, then <strong>Carriers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"801\" height=\"327\" src=\"https:\/\/www.2kmedicalsoftware.com\/Medisoft-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/image-8.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1032\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">14.&nbsp; Select desired Insurance, then click <strong>Edit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">15.&nbsp; Change <strong>EDI Receiver<\/strong> (Primary and optionally Secondary), from \u201cCHCL\u201d to \u201cEMCL\u201d.&nbsp; Leave the existing Change Healthcare Payer ID as-is.&nbsp; eMedix will auto-convert the Payer ID to the eMedix equivalent.&nbsp; Even for Payers who require agreements, eMedix will send the claims to Change Healthcare until the agreements are changed over to eMedix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">16.&nbsp; Click <strong>Save<\/strong> when finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">17.&nbsp; Repeat as needed for each Insurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To complete the setup of eMedix for Medisoft following the migration from Change Healthcare, ensure that you have selected the appropriate insurance carriers in the system. Access the Lists menu, navigate to Insurance, and then select Carriers. Once you have chosen the desired insurance, click Edit to update the EDI Receiver designation from \u201cCHCL\u201d to \u201cEMCL,\u201d while retaining the existing Change Healthcare Payer ID.
