fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Placing a Taxonomy code on a claim will vary depending on\nthe method, paper or electronic, and if electronic, may still vary further\ndepending on what clearinghouse you\u2019re sending to, and what electronic method\nis used to generate the claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First let\u2019s take a look at \u201cPaper claims\u201d, and \u201cPrint-image\nfor electronic claims\u201d.&nbsp; With these\nmethods, you\u2019ll likely be placing the \u201cRending\/Individual\u201d Taxonomy in Box 24j\n(Shaded), and\/or the \u201cPractice\/Group\u201d Taxonomy in 33b.&nbsp; The requirements can vary from payer to\npayer, so please check with your payer for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To populate Box 24j (Shaded), you will need to utilize the \u201cProvider IDs\u201d tab for each Provider you\u2019ll be billing claims for.\u00a0 Go to <strong>Lists<\/strong>, then Provider, then <strong>Providers<\/strong>.\u00a0 Select a provider, click <strong>Edit<\/strong>, then go to the <strong>Provider IDs<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"624\" height=\"236\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2kmedicalsoftware.com\/Medisoft-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/image-7.png?resize=624%2C236&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-796\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2kmedicalsoftware.com\/Medisoft-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/image-7.png?w=624&amp;ssl=1 624w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2kmedicalsoftware.com\/Medisoft-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/image-7.png?resize=300%2C113&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need to send a Taxonomy Code in Box 24j (Shaded) for\nALL insurances, edit the \u201cAll\/All\/All\u201d line.&nbsp;\nIf you need to send it just for a certain insurance, select and <strong>Edit<\/strong>\nthat line.&nbsp; Go to <strong>Lists<\/strong>, then <strong>Provider<\/strong>,\nthen <strong>Providers<\/strong>.&nbsp; Select a\nprovider, then go to the <strong>Provider IDs<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edit the \u201cAll\/All\/All\u201d line, a specific Insurance line, or add a new line as needed\u2026 the difference being;
