fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SCHEDULING &amp; RESTORING BACKUPS IN MEDISOFT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Backing up your data is very important!&nbsp; You can schedule backups to run automatically\nin Medisoft.&nbsp; Please note however, the\nMedisoft Task Scheduler does take up one user license.&nbsp; You can schedule backups to run, daily,\nweekly, or as often as needed.&nbsp; It is\nrecommend having at least a week\u2019s worth of separate daily backups.&nbsp; To do so, go to <strong>File<\/strong>, then <strong>Task\nScheduler<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note; If doing separate daily\nbackups, or more than one in general, you\u2019ll need to repeat these steps for\neach one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <strong>New<\/strong> to setup a new scheduled backup task.&nbsp; Leave the option, <strong>Backup<\/strong>, selected then click <strong>OK<\/strong>.&nbsp; Select the database to be backed up, then click <strong>OK<\/strong>.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"547\" height=\"326\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2kmedicalsoftware.com\/Medisoft-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image.png?resize=547%2C326&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-808\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2kmedicalsoftware.com\/Medisoft-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image.png?w=547&amp;ssl=1 547w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.2kmedicalsoftware.com\/Medisoft-Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/image.png?resize=300%2C179&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 547px) 100vw, 547px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter a <strong>Description<\/strong>, for example \u201cMonday\nAuto-backup\u201d.&nbsp; Set how often, at what\ntime, and the start date.&nbsp; To do a daily\nbackup, leave the <strong>Perform task every<\/strong> setting at \u201c1\u201d, to do a weekly\nbackup, set this to \u201c7\u201d.&nbsp; Choose a time\nwhen all other users will be out of the program, and make sure they do logout\nevery day.&nbsp; If a user is still logged in\nat the backup time, the backup may not run.&nbsp;\nSet a <strong>Destination<\/strong>, where the backup should be saved at.&nbsp; Setting a <strong>Password <\/strong>is optional, and if\nyou choose to set one, be sure to make note of it, as a backup cannot be\nrecovered without it.&nbsp; Click <strong>Save<\/strong>\nwhen done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Place a check-mark in the <strong>Open on <\/strong>Startup option,\nthis will allow the Medisoft Task Scheduler to start automatically if the server\nis rebooted.&nbsp; Click <strong>New <\/strong>again to\nsetup another backup, or click <strong>OK<\/strong> to finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To restore a backup, while logged in to that database\u2026 first make sure all other users have exited that database.&nbsp;
